ASTM A312 /A312M ASME SA312 Covers seamless, straight-seam welded, and heavily cold worked welded austenitic stainless-steel pipe intended for high-temperature and general corrosive service. ASTM A312 pipe is the general use stainless steel pipe applied in different industries. It covers diameters from 1/8” to 30” and thickness from SCH 10S to SCH 80S. Common use material grades are TP304/304L, TP316/316L.

The size range for this tube is from internal diameter 1/8 inch and up to 5 inch OD. Thickness from 0.015 to 0.500 inch (0.4 mm to 12.7 mm). Also if for other size required, it could be specified in the order, also should be stated with minimum and average thickness.

Hot dipped galvanizing is the process of coating to protect steel from rusty corrosion. Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is mostly utilized in the transmission of coal, gas, and steam, also used for construction, such as scaffolding, greenhouse, and structure.

Hot-dip galvanizing is a very economical anti-corrosion method for seamless pipes. Whether it is a round pipe or a seamless pipe of other shapes, it can be uniformly coated with a layer of zinc layer.The thickness of the zinc layer can reach 200-550 g/㎡, which is 5 times the thickness of the zinc layer of the pre-galvanized pipe.

A500 steel pipe such as transporting oil or water. A500 is a cold formed carbon steel that is North America’s most commonly specified Hollow Structural Section (HSS).

The tolerances of A500 are tighter than those of A53, therefore the A500 round pipe HSS has more quality and less variability than A53. A500B Structural Pipe is manufactured for use in applications that demand greater strength, closer tolerances, and a superior finish. This product is an excellent choice for painted applications.

Tubing is used to carry petroleum from the well’s depths to the surface. This is the third phase of the wellbore process. Oil and gas occasionally self-elevate to the surface; however, pumps are typically required to bring the fluids to the surface. Besides the 4 1/2-inch diameter, tubing is normally smaller in diameter than casing. Consequently, tubing must be affixed to external support structures, such as a rig or platform, in order to prevent collapse due to pressure differentials.

ASTM A53 pipe is intended for mechanical and low-pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary uses in steam, water, gas and air lines. It is suitable for welding and for forming operations involving coiling, bending, and flanging, subject to certain qualifications.

The size range of ASTM A53/ASME SA 53 carbon pipe is 1/4 to 26 inch and sch10 to sch160.

A53 pipes can be welded, flanged and formed as required, and there are three main types (“S” seamless hot rolling and cold finishing).

ASTM A106/ASME SA106 pipe is a carbon steel pipe manufactured by hot rolling. A106 pipe is particularly suitable where the fluid being conveyed is of high temperature or pressure (or both). Astm 106 pipe can be used in high temperature applications (up to 750 degrees Fahrenheit).

It is used not only for piping systems in different industries, such as the transport of oil and gas, water and mineral slurries, but also in boilers, buildings, structures and other applications.

ASTM A106 is generally used in carbon steel, where Grade B pipe is equivalent to ASTM A53 Grade B and API 5L Grade B in terms of chemical position and mechanical properties.
